I wasn’t planning on doing a post today but a few hours ago, the Warhammer Community page announced that Total War: Warhammer 3 is coming, and that it is coming this year! What’s more, the announcement came with a CGI teaser trailer and ohhhhhh man… does it look good. (Eat your heart out Blizzard.)
It’s fair to say I’m looking forward to this game! However what does this mean for tabletop?
Well as we already know, Games Workshop are working on “The Old World” which is essentially Warhammer Fantasy revived. (However set a few hundred years from the events of the end times.) They have already mentioned Kislev as one of the main factions in this new table top setting and so it makes sense for Total War: Warhammer 3 to focus on Kislev at this time. It’s no secret that the Total War games reignited peoples love for Warhammer fantasy, so having this new Total War game showcase some of the key factions coming to the Old World is quite a brilliant move.
I just hope I’ll be able to bring my Empire miniatures to the party, both on PC and on the table when The Old World finally sees release.
